What's New in 2010....
All those months waiting for that special day when your new little person enters the world. As a mother I know how taxing those last few weeks can be. Planning pregnancy photos and then capturing your new family photos. Finding time alone to do your hair and makeup becomes a thing of the past. So the mere thought of finding time to look nice for those first photos gets thrown in the "Too Hard Basket"
November last year I had a phone call from Tara. A beautiful young lady over eight months pregnant wanting to know what was involved with taking pregnancy photos. I met Tara and her partner soon after photos were taken.
Tara emailed me with excitement about having bub's first Christmas photos. Well I did not see Tara for Christmas as her little baby had a mind of his own and decided to stay inside mum comfortably for a couple weeks past his due date.
Tara emailed me with the news of excitement that baby "Jett" had now arrived.
Tara and I had became good friends and we spoke of how we were going to take her photos.
I believe these first photos should capture moments that are natural...moments that are not propped but happen of their own accord. The little hand movements and their shape. The miniature occasional smile. A mothers look of love seeing her child for the first time.
Tara and I decided to combine Glamour with her newborn photos. We kept the makeup light yet noticeable. Hair was styled with a few barrel curls to add softness around the face. The rest...well that was easy....bub is a natural and mum rested and relaxed having had her hair and makeup done for her in a relaxed atmosphere.
